Re-Transmit

So today I had to go back to my university for the first part of the student mentor training.  Before I go any further, I guess I ought to explain the responsibilities of a mentor first.  We're pretty much responsible for ensuring that the new students know at least one friendly face on campus who knows what's what and where everything is (hopefully).  The training itself was pretty straightforward; however, it was a bit unnerving when they discussed what to do if a "mentee" (one of the students under your "mentorship") texts you during the night saying they are about to commit suicide (apparently it HAS happened before, unfortunately).  Unpleasant topics aside, I made a few acquaintances pretty quickly, and do look forward to meeting more like-minded individuals on campus.  The net result of meeting one of them was that we both went to PB Technology on Queen Street to price up some components for the new computer he's planning to build.  To be honest, I'd never realised how much I had missed computer-nerd shopping until today - now I wish I had some spare money to upgrade MY computer!

I have to look for a job over the summer break.  Finding one is the difficult part.  ^_^

Those smileys will always and forever remind me of Chibi...:-P

Any luck so far in the job-search department?

Yeah, I kind of stole them off her. -_o

No job, but I had a massive influx of computer jobs, which enabled me to pay the taxman plus some.
