A short message (regarding a wedding)

Firstly, I'm sorry I haven't posted in...a while. :-P  That's what happens when your family is preparing for a wedding.

Secondly, I would like to wish my older sister ZoĆ« much happiness in her soon-to-be married life!  I think she's made a wonderful decision in agreeing to marry Andrew (who has been courting/engaged to her for a little over a year) and hope that they have a wonderful life together.  God bless you both!

This is what my younger brother does in between studying.  Sure beats my bored doodles.

Re-Transmit

So today I had to go back to my university for the first part of the student mentor training.  Before I go any further, I guess I ought to explain the responsibilities of a mentor first.  We're pretty much responsible for ensuring that the new students know at least one friendly face on campus who knows what's what and where everything is (hopefully).  The training itself was pretty straightforward; however, it was a bit unnerving when they discussed what to do if a "mentee" (one of the students under your "mentorship") texts you during the night saying they are about to commit suicide (apparently it HAS happened before, unfortunately).  Unpleasant topics aside, I made a few acquaintances pretty quickly, and do look forward to meeting more like-minded individuals on campus.  The net result of meeting one of them was that we both went to PB Technology on Queen Street to price up some components for the new computer he's planning to build.  To be honest, I'd never realised how much I had missed computer-nerd shopping until today - now I wish I had some spare money to upgrade MY computer!

I have to look for a job over the summer break.  Finding one is the difficult part.  ^_^

Upgrade

I thought it was time for a theme upgrade.  To be honest, I don't think Blogger comes with nearly enough themes of its own, otherwise I would have changed mine long ago.  Many thanks to guitargirl, who let me in on her blog template secrets. ;-)

So, what do you all think?

(I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything substantial recently.  I'll try to write something decent sometime soon)

Switchfoot's new album

You can listen to all of Switchfoot's "Hello Hurricane" album on their MySpace profile: http://www.myspace.com/Switchfoot

It sounds awesome!  I'm so glad I pre-ordered it from the Christian bookstore. :-D

Photos from Briar's birthday hike

Enjoy!  Yeah, I've switched from Picasa Online Albums to Facebook, but it's easier that way.  I hate uploading the same photos twice.

P.S. You can view the album without needing to have a Facebook account.
